Netgear nighthawk m6 pro Ethernet not working
So wifi works perfectly, but Ethernet is best for online gaming. Id like to not disconnect every 5 minutes. But of course gaming is never that easy for me, Ethernet offloading is unsuccessful every single time, no matter what I do, Ethernet is turned on, battery is out and router is connected via AC. Ethernet cable was bought just yesterday, Xbox says it’s on a wired connection. But that’s as far as it goes it just keep me on mobile data cause it’s unsuccessful every time. Help would be apprexated although I haven’t been able to find any help consider everyone having this problem can’t get an answer either just a load of rambling on bull**bleep** from others

Re: Netgear nighthawk m6 pro Ethernet not working
You don't say what the model number is of the Netgear device you own – "nighthawk m6" could be one of several things. Most of them are mobile modem/hotspots.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Re: Netgear nighthawk m6 pro Ethernet not working
Hi @ugenswani ,
Are you plugging the xbox directly into the M6? If so, Ethernet offloading should be disabled. Ethernet offloading allows you to plug the M6 into your home router and use that connection as the primary internet. If Ethernet offloading is enabled(Ethernet port switches from LAN to WAN), the M6 may think your Xbox is a home router.

Possibly the same issue, but there can be various reasons for a particular set of synmptoms.
To start with, what about the suggestion from @ArodiD?
Rule that out before moving on to other possibilities.

i ended up getting it working after removing the battery and going to AC mode, trying it on ethernet offloading on my laptop, to no avail as expected and then disabled offloading again and it started to work on my pc. i then returned it back to my xbox and it’s working. i tried all of this on my xbox prior and it didn’t work for some reason.
By default, Ethernet port is disabled. If you need to use ethernet port, please go to Power Manager and set the Power Profile as Performance or use the device without battery.
When device is in Performance mode, Ethernet speed is set as 1Gbps. When it is operated in no battery operation mode, the port is set as 2.5Gbps.
Thanks
