RV rooftop antennae for MR6550 nighthawk
Hi,
We recently looked into getting an RV and are wondering about combination antenna like the Winegard 360deg which has AM/FM, TV, WiFi, and LTE/5G capability which seems to be very popular, but wanted to investigate other options.
What have people used with their Nighthawks that they'd recommend?
Thanks

Re: RV rooftop antennae for MR6550 nighthawk
the only issue you'd run into is the MR6550 only has the lte-5g connections. so unless you're hooking the winegard up to something else, it'd be overkill.

Re: RV rooftop antennae for MR6550 nighthawk
if you have a use for those other type of antennas, then maybe it's a good choice. Of course you probably already know there are only x2 external connectors on the MR6550, which only gives you 2x2 MIMO. So unless you really have very poor reception where you're located, I wont personally recommend externals. If your tower is struggling with capacity, adding an external will not fix that. these all-in-ones usually are omnis, if the issue is truly fixable with an external antenna, an omni would only be a good to better choice, the best will be a directional. but for RV use with frequent movement, the omni will be ideal vs a directional.
