Which version of the R6400 do you have? There was an update with netgear armor for some versions.

It only says AC1750 above the model number

If its version 1, I don't see the update to netgear armor. But even if it does get it, Armor is a subscription service

No issues with the router but some spam mail has been released from my google, I am guessing. I. Changed passwords. My brother still getting weird emails from me

If you check your sent mail, has it been sent by you? 

I know they can spoof the email address that is the "from" receipient.
