R6300v2 Firmware updating
I use an R6300v2 provided by Charter. With the recent vulnerability issues, I want to make sure the firmware is up to date. The Support Site says the latest is 1.0.4.06. The router reports current is 1.0.3.6_1.0.63CH and says no firmware update is available. Huh?? Now what?
Your only option is to either stay with the current CHarter firmware, or flash the router to DR-WRT and then flash it to the most recent firmware of the "normal" 6300v3 router.

That is probably the answer. If Charter provided it, then it may be a custom version. You will probably have to ask them for new firmware.
