Dynamic WAN IP address - I keep getting a weird fixed WAN IP address
My ISP (Comcast/Xfinity) uses a dynamic WAN IP. I use DYN.COM DNA naming service to allow me to get into my routers. All good.
I ran into a problem with a US Government website. My wife tried logging in but failed too any times. Our IP was logged and we are IP blocked. Should be a simple fix, reboot the cable modem and get a new IP address.
Comcast IP addresses in our are asre 73.xxx.yyy.zzz
The IP address I keep getting is: IP: 98.201.yyy.zzz - And it is the same everytime
If I switch to fixed IP address, there is a server address that is similar but does not match Comcast/Xfinity.
Is there some sort of psuedo fixed IP address by using some Netgear Server?
Since I closed my office, I had a second BR500. I reprogramed it the same way, BUT, it gets a dynamic address from Comcast.
Anyone have a clue?

I don't think that there is some sort of psuedo fixed IP address by using some NETGEAR Server.

I'm glad after 6 months someone finally looked at this, even without any fix.
These VPN routers are half baked. Some of the "features" were never finished. The VPN service went down so many times I bought a competitor model. I didn't end up installing them because we shut our office. I do not use the VPN service, on OPEN VPN, since it works, every time.
