SRX5308, 3 fast WAN connections and one slower DSL
is it possible to have a Weighted LB configuration for 3 of the WAN connections and use the 4th as a failover? we have three 50/10 mb/s connections and one with a different provider that is 3/.768 mb/s. All ports have their speeds defined and work independently and the 3 faster connections have worked great for a year plus. But with the slower link in the mix some systems on the LAN get associated with it and are thus much slower.
We added the other connection because the 3 fast connections are with the same provider and generally all go down at the same time but for our area the fastest any other provider has is the the 3mb/s down.

- yeah thats the problem.
LB tries to use all 4 links but some traffic gets slow link
failover uses just one link leaving 2 unused and 4th for failover.
is there no way to define one as failover and have the rest in LB. - Firmware limitation.
I have not seen like that. Is there other brands does that? - not sure if other brands do that other than high end units but seems like a common problem. Our only choices are Cable and DSL. Cable has high speeds of 50Mb/s and DSL is limited to 3Mb/s. We have noticed that with three cable connections things run nice till the cable company has a problem then all three connections go down. Thus we ordered the one DSL connection to have something up when cable connections are down.
The only solution I can come up with is to leave it in DL mode but inplug the DSL. at times of Cable failure someone will have to physically go down to the unit and plug it in... which is less than optimal. - I would probably say change the brand that supports. It is firmware limitation and don't expect any changes in firmware by next week even you contact support for suggestion for enhancement... :)
