port forwarding on FVS336gv3
I figured port forwarding would be straight forward, I have been using a sonicwall, and replaced it with the netgear prosafe FVS336Gv3 dual WAN router. We have security cameras attached to a DVR, and needed to forward port 1234 & 123456(example only) to the DVR.
I created a Service for each port, then created a group with both ports in it. Went to Security - Firewall - LAN Rules and created an inbound rule to "always allow" under LAN Server i put the internal IP address of the DVR "192.168.1.10" Since i have a fall over connection i chose the Primary WAN (WAN 1) to forward the ports. (i chose not to use WAN2 since it is only 10GPS and did not want to bog down the bandwith with the DVR if it swtiched over temporarily)
that did not work.....
Then i tried using the Port forwarding under the SSL VPN area, still nothing. There must be something i am missing.....
thank you for your help
Guy

Hi GuyDamato,
Welcome to the community!
It appears that you have created the rules correctly, if you want to do a recap of the instructions in port forwarding click here. If you can share a screenshot (by PM) of the rules (Inbound rules) you have created I can check it for you. Also, we'd like to know what firmware version you are using on the firewall.
I'll wait for your response.
Thanks,

Thanks for the Response, I went on site to where we are using the Prosafe. When i created the "Groups" and added the services i created, i added two services to each Group. (Since i have to forward two ports to each DVR). I went back and split up each service into its own group, and everything worked fine....
maybe it got confused...lol
Thanks for being there, at least as a sounding board, to bounce stuff off of...
Take care
Guy
