Seamless Roaming 802.11r - Linksys has this already. Why do the Nighthawks, nor the Orbi support?

Moving from router to Access Point on the Netgear "home" products does not solve the VOIP problem.  Calls drop when moving from the router to an access point or extender.

How about true IEEE 802.11r, v & k "seamless" routing?  I am returning my Orbi, since it drops VOIP calls on T-Mobile WiFi calling when moving from the Orbi base to the Orbi Satellite.  Orbi is not really a true "mesh," it just uses a fast 5g back-channel in lieu of a Cat 7 cable.

Same issue when I used a Nighthawk 8500 X8 and AC2200 used a wired Access Point on the same LAN.

Linksys seems to have the feature many of us are seeking with their "Seamless Roaming:"  http://www.linksys.com/ca/support-article?articleNum=200525

When will Netgear enable 802.11r, v, & k?
