MR5200 M5 Not connecting to 5G - iPhone can connect fine with same SIM
I am having problems connecting to 5G on the M5 and sometimes get the error that there is no network connection.
Device displays 5G but band never changes from LTE, my iPhone 13 with the same SIM can access 5G fine and performance difference is massive (which is why I wanted to switch to a 5G router). Trying to work out if this is a device issue or a network block of the device. Don't have another network SIM to check atm.
Network SMART 5G (Philippines)
Checking secret menu, iPhone connects to Band 3, 5G NSA (5), 15MHz
Tethered so not a Wi-Fi issue

Re: MR5200 M5 Not connecting to 5G - iPhone can connect fine with same SIM
So I just installed a Globe 5G SIM and performance very good, NR5G service is attached. curband still LTE even though M5 display flicks between 5G and 4G+.
So for the other carrier it looks like SMART are blocking the M5 device on my current plan or there is a compatibility issue.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to spoof the Netgear device to be an iPhone, e.g change the IMEI number to my apple iPhone, is that going to be enough?
