As announced in early January 2021, we completed the end-of-life on Insight Basic with the Insight 6.1 release last Monday. There are still lingering questions from the community, so we want to clarify a few points:
All Insight managed devices and networks will continue to function without the use of Insight cloud-management. You can continue to manage your devices via the device GUI.
We have been automatically upgraded all Insight Basic users to a 30-day trial of Insight Premium, which includes the web portal and deeper functionality. This provides Insight Basic users the ability to experience Insight Premium. After the trial devices can be locally managed or an Insight Premium Subscription needs to be purchased – consider using promo Code: Prem35off . The Insight app will continue to register devices if desired.
Additionally, all Insight Basic users with even a single Paid subscription have been automatically upgraded to Insight Premium for all the devices they already had in their account for the duration of their subscription term. At this time you may choose to renew your subscription by purchasing one for the next term.
The above also applies to all users who added a device that came with the 1-Year Insight subscription – again they are upgraded to Insight Premium for the duration of the 1-year Insight subscription.
