10TB & 12TB hard drives 4k or 512e?
Anyone running 12TB drives?
Just upgraded to a 428 and looking to get the most bang for my buck at this point.
Probably going to upgrade to the largest drives I can get
also 4k or 512e?

Re: 10TB & 12TB hard drives 4k or 512e?
We support 4k disks. The disks don't need to be able to emulate 512-byte sectors.
There is a ReadyNAS Hard Disk Compatibility List
Please note that when disks are added to the compatibility list they would be tested against current/recent firmware. Compatibility with current/recent firmware may still mean that there could be compatibility issues with old firmware.

Generally speaking, it's a good idea to leave some open slots for expansion later on (perhaps two). HAMR drives are beginning to come on to the market, which means that max drive sizes should continue to increase for a while.
If you have a lot of folders or small files, you might also want to consider SSD metadata tiering when you set up your new NAS.
