ReadyNAS 102

I have forgotten my password, doh! I have password recovery turned on and I have requested a new password but I have not received an email. I have done a 'normal' reset but this has not taken me back to the standard 'admin & password'. Raidar shows me the NAS and reports as healthy and I can see all my folders and files in the 'browse' screen in readycloud. I cannot get into 'admin' to edit shares etc. Help me please?

Re: ReadyNAS 102

Do you receive other email alerts?  Did you ever?  If you set that up a while ago, some email services have implemented two-factor authentication.  If you made no changes to your settings, that could be the issue.

That said, an OS re-install (NOT a Factory default, which wipes the drives) will reset the password to the default.  It will also reset any static IP to DHCP, so use RAIDar to find the IP if you did have a static one selected.  Your data and remaining configuration will be unchanged.

Since an OS reinstall can be performed by anyone with physical access to the NAS, resetting the password as above, it really does little harm to put a note on the NAS itself as to the password, or at least a hint.

Welcome to the Community!

I agree with @Sandshark, might as well try using a different browser when requesting for the password using the recovery feature if you have not done it yet.

Otherwise, the last step would be to do OS-Reinstall.
