Hi,
i know thats extra quesiton, but i would go 6.10.10, but it is missing important repos and cant install some apps even with SSH directly. Not mentioning there is apps webpage in webadmin blank and does not display anything which is painful.
But still. I would be really happy to have 6.10.10 and not odd number version, to have the latest. Was thinking how to do this and software corrections required would be difficult. Then got simple idea.
Is there a place where is version number store, file, in mysql db, and where is taken, so i could just simply put there 6.10.10? For my peace in mind and feeling great with NAS. 🙂
I just want try. Altought i have a question, would it stop auto updates offering 6.10.10 update? I hope..

It doesn't matter which OS version you use, the Debian Jessie repos have been archived, so you need to make changes to sources.list and apt.conf to install any package that needs to download dependencies.

I have already done these changes with sources.list and apt.conf but still. I would appreaciate 6.10.10. security fixes but 6.10.9 usability and flexibility also like apps webpage, administration, installation. Altough i am using SSH frequently.
Lets dont mess this topic anymore, because its not such related and continue here pls
Btw running SSD in primary shaft and big conventional storage hard drive in another.. since i have asked here - i've lost forum account credentils. And is working great. Altough system boot times dont differ much, SSD does 500MB/s read and same write, when working with only files on SSD. If I had bonded both 1Gbit ports and had total 2Gbit, I could transfer files up to 200MB/s from/to LAN. But it does not matter. Now i plan take another advantage of SSD, which is some minor service hosting to the internet. I know there are tools dedicated for it and much more sharper / wiser to use. But this does the job hopefully and i will benchmark it later. Service is not resources demanding anyway. Other time, other topic. CYA
// And below line: also connecting another SSD, one via eSATA and another via USB works perfectly. Great piece of hardware along with software = ReadyNAS (UNIT/OS).
Thank you!
