ReadyNAS OS 6 compatibility with ReadyNAS Pro 6 device
The ReadyNAS OS 6 page does not specifically list my ReadyNAS Pro 6 device - however, based on posts in the community, it seems some users are running OS 6.x on a Pro 6 device.
I'd like to update the device to the most recent firmware/OS it will support. What is that?
I appreciate any help or tips!
Here is what FrontView reports:
Model: | ReadyNAS Pro 6 [X-RAID2] |
Serial: | 2H0522R800365 |
Firmware: | RAIDiator 4.2.28 |
Memory: | 1024 MB [6-6-6-18 DDR2] |

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6 compatibility with ReadyNAS Pro 6 device
os6 does not officially applicable to pro6.
it is at your own risk installing os6 to your pro6
first u have to make sure u have the updated bios firmware. this had to be upgraded thru your 4xx firmware as an app. then u can download the os6 and upgrade

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6 compatibility with ReadyNAS Pro 6 device
OS6 works very well with these models, I have had several models that I have bought second hand over the years. Swap out CPU and RAM and you end up with a capable NAS Dave
