readynas to Onedrive sync - does PC need to be running?
Hi all, do i need my pc to be running at all time for this sync feature to work?
I am running the Onedrive Sync feature on the cloud tab of my Readynas admin page. I have successfully chosen the two folders to sync via the Readynas setup interface. One is the Readynas folder. I have already mapped this folder to the PC but the path used in the setup dialog refers to the file structure on the readynas and so this seems to indicate that it is working on the readynas natively, not the pc. However, the other path is harder for me to interpret, it looks as if it's local PC based version of the Onedrive folder that I have just set up to be the mirror of my readynas folder.
I had expected that because the readynas and onedrive folders are both available independently of my pc in the cloud that the readynas processor would run the sync activity in the background, whether or not my pc were running. Is this correct? I have a suspicion that the way it is set up means that it is actually syncing the readynas with my local onedrive folder on the pc, not the cloud version of the same.... If so, then it will only work when my pc at home is running. Is this correct?
Thanks!
