NETGEAR nighthawk r7000 won’t connect to iPhone app
My modem and and nighthawk are both connected to one another and my Motorola 3.1 has connection with the internet. I have all white lights on my router, including the internet. When I go to setup and connect my router via the iPhone app it says “cannot connect to router”. It’s connected but I don’t know why I’m getting that message. I’ve unplugged both the router and modem to restart them and still no luck!!! Does anyone know what else what I can do to get things going?!

I have the 6700v3 and sounds like the exact same problem, I dont want to make a seperate thread for the same issue.
After unboxing, I connected the router to my modem, and did the initial setup using my PC connected to the nighthawk's WIFI. Got the SSID and password made, and changed the ADMIN password, looked around quickly through the available options and closed out the browser. I connected using my android app and everything seemed to work, I ran some speed tests in different rooms, etc, and when I was satisfied everything was good, I closed it out.
About 30 minutes later, I opened the android app to run some more speed tests in different rooms and it started giving me the cannot connect message. I tried switching to the 2.4ghz and same thing. I tried logging in on PC and I get error ro connect to router or clear cache. I tried clearing cache and that did nothing, so I tried using chrome browser instead of firefox and it just gave me a blank screen.
I have tried resetting all the equipment multiple times and cannot connect, but the WIFI is still working.

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router.
Having two routers on a network can cause headaches, including the symptoms that you see.

Are you already connected to the wifi from the R7000?
