Can't access the extender login page
I have factory reset my extender twice to join a new home network.
When I type into my browser "mywifiext.net" instead of getting the login page asking for username and password, I get the Netgear Genie which only wants to search for networks. The device is not behaving as per the instructions for setting it up.
How do I get the login page?

Are you able to wifi connect to the extenders network then try that login? if not have you tried to connect via ethernet cable?

I was able to connect to the extenders network via wifi, did not try a cable. It is strange that I can not get the login page. Each time I tried to brign up the admin page it immediately went to the genie and wanted to scan for networks.
Our need turned out to be for a more modern router. We are using a 4gLTE hotspot for internet and needed something that would work efficiently with it. Purchased a router that supports that feature.
