You are able to rename the SSID with out it having the 2GEXT if you believe that is the issue for that device not being able to see the network.

Thanks DarrenM. Removing, or changing, the range finder's SSID extension didn't solve the problem. As other devices can see the range extender's 2.4 & 5GHz SSIDs, it's got to be an issue with the inverter's WiFi setup.
Thank's again for your advice. It was worth the experiment
