Ex8000 won't work with Synology AC2600 router

Hi everyone!

I recently replaced my ZYXEL router which was in use with an EX8000 by a Synology rt2600ac. The EX8000 won't however connect to the WIFI network. I run latest firmware on both devices (.118 on the EX8000).

The genie detects the networks and after entering the PW it tries to connect. The link LEDs blink briefly twice before going off. Loggin into the UI again, I am told that no connection could be made.

It worked smoothly with the ZYXEL with the same network name/security settings. I also switched channels - without success.

I would appreciate any help to get that box functional again. I found some other place that some testing firmware solved this issue.
