Extender will not work after receiving new modem

I got a new wireless modem, with a new wifi name.  I connected the Netgear Extender via cable to modem, but that didn't work.  I cannot access the extender, even when plugged into my pc.  I pushed the factory reset button, but that didn't change anything.

    You will need to hold the factory reset button for at least 10 seconds then you should be able to set the extender up again.
