Losing connection with xfinitywifi

I purchased an EX2700 to extend xfinitywifi into my vacation condo from an outdoor AP.  I have Comcast internet at home and use the xfinitywifi hotspots when I'm not at home with my user id / password.

Setup of the EX2700 went smoothly and I see the xfinitywifi_EXT on the list of SSID on my iPad.  I connect to the xfinitywifi_EXT, enter my user id / password on the screen and I'm connected.  After 5 minutes I realised that the wifi symbol on the iPad wasn't present.  Going to Settings / WIFI on the iPad showed the xfinitywifi_EXT with a spinning circle as though it were trying to connect and receive an IP.

Did a factory reset and did the entire setup again for xfinitywifi.  Once again it worked for 5 minutes or so.  Deleted the xfinitywifi_EXT on the iPad, turned of the iPad wifi, turned it on and selected xfinitywifi_EXT.  I watched the circle spin trying to acquire an IP for a least a minute.  I removed power from the EX2700 and waited an hour or two to try again.  Plugged it in, acquired the xfinitywifi_EXT SSID, wifi symbol appeared on the iPad and I was back on the internet for about 5 minutes.

Is or has anyone experienced this?  Is there a setting on the EX2700 or iPad that I need to change?

Thanks in advance

    Hello Bigdogzz

You may want to try and change the security type on the wireless settings and also may want to adjust the wireless channel.
