N600 suddenly unable to connect

This extender has been working well for 12 months. Last week, it was suddenly not connected to the wifi network anymore, so I reset it. The problems is that when I enter the wifi password (passphrase), I am told to reenter and try again. I have reentered the correct password multiple times, and moved the extendor closer to the modem with no success. Please advise!
