NETGEAR Wi-Fi Range Extender EX6120
Have had this extender for 3 years and it has worked great. Three days ago, it stops working and everything I have connected to it loses Wi-Fi. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it starts working again. It has happened 4 times now. Since it is connected to security devices and some light automation, I can’t afford to have it randomly stop. What is happening and what can I do to get it to stop doing this?

Its challenging because it could be the router, it could be the extender.
Sometimes the routers stop assigning or handling dhcp and cause issues.
Sometimes the extenders are going bad. Its challenging to troubleshoot which it is.
When it goes down, what are all the leds on it doing?
Is it still broadcasting wifi? But just says "connected, no internet"? Or what happens?
Are you able to log into the extender when it happens? That'll show the connection back to the router.
So when it goes down, log in and check that (get a screensnip)

When the Extender stops working the Power Led is Green and the Router Link Led is Green. The Device Link Led is not on. When it is working all three Led's are green. It stopped today when I was here and noticed that the devices connected directly to the Modem/router did not lose connectivity.

Next time it happens. Log into the extender (you don't have to be connected to it) using its IP address (can get that from the router).
Get a screensnip of the status page as that can show us the connections between router---extender and extender---devices.
