No connection to router
Got a new router from O2 last week. Since then my repeater can't find the homenetwork any more. I tried reset to factory settings and direct connection via WPS button as well as via browser following...

Make sure the security type for the routers wireless is WPA2. you could also do a test remove the password from the router and try to connect the extender see if that works could tell us if its a issue with the encryption.

Dear DarrenM,
it is and was always indeed the WPA2 security type. As this has been dragging on for more than a week now and I neither want to mess around with the password, as all other devices in the WLAN work fine nor do I want to make a hobby out of fiddling around with this range extender I will give up now and buy another device - presumably not Netgear.
