Recomendations for RV Park

Looking for a product recommendation to use in a campground with WiFi.
It was suggested to get a wifi range extender. Thanks in advance for your help. I did do search, but nothing came up.

  • To use in what way, to achieve what purpose? Are you the campground operator or an unhappy camper?
  • we are "happy" campers in a state park in SC. The park does have wifi and I am having trouble with the laptop picking up the wifi signal. My phone and tablets are fine, but the laptop is very slow picking it up. It was suggested to get a wifi range extender.
    Thanks for your help.
  • Where is the laptop - inside an RV surrounded by sheet metal? My suggestion would be more along the lines of a USB wireless adapter, possibly on a USB extension cable so that it could be positioned for optimum reception quality. Range extenders have their own issues and will have to be reconfigured every time you move from park-to-park, and it's not as simple as adding a new "hot spot" on the laptop. If you don't move about much, it might work.
  • Yes, it is inside, but fiberglass sidewalls. When I go outside it connects right away.
Thanks for your help, Fordem, I will try the usb one.
  • Thanks again, fordem. Got a usb one today and up and running without a problem.
