WN2000RPT no dns
Bought two of these devices a few weeks ago and have had nothing but hell with them. Both are setup as access points and connect to a vdsl router through ethernet cable. On setup they worked great for my iphone, but for anyone using anything other than an iphone, i.e. android, then forget it because they get no dns "webpage cannot be displayed". Well yes they do get dns but its the address of the WN2000RPT which is a dead end.
Then last week four computers that are on the network start getting "webpage cabnnot be displayed" messages, on looking at their settings they are now getting their dns from the WN2000RPT which seems to be a deadend for anything other than iphones. Where before the computers were getting their dns from the vdsl router. Disconnect the WN2000RPT and everything works fine again so its not the router at fault.
The WN2000RPT seems to be acting like a rouge dns server causing all sorts of problems on the network.. Tried setting it up manually but still the same problems.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem because these devices are not fit for purpose and if their is no solution they are going back to the shop???

Hello kogg
Do the extenders have a separate SSID from the main router?
