netgear trek used as a range extender
Have tried to use the Trek as a range extender. Can log in and go thru the process of finding the wifi I want to extend, put in all information including passphrase and then go to apply and nothing h...

Did all the above. Firmware was up to date. Try ed again and only difference was it never asked for a password to log in. Will connect as hot spot, but not a range extension

Hi urshadow,
If you are able to set up hotspot, please login to mywifiext.net and factory reset through the web interface.
Navigate to Advanced, Administration, Backup Settings then select Revert to factory default settings.
In the settings page, you can also re-flash the firmware version 1.0.0.14
Download the zip file from http://support.netgear.com/product/PR2000
Unzip the img file and upload it to the firmware settings page
