Announcement: New DumaOS Feature - Application QoS

In 2014 we built QoS to reduce lag caused by devices around the home. Whether someone is watching Netflix while you're gaming or a Skype call is raising your ping, we want to let your devices coexist without congestion to give you peace of mind.

With Application QoS you can bring balance to your home by telling DumaOS exactly what matters to you. Prefer gaming to social media? With Application QoS, just give anything the bandwidth it needs across all devices at the same time - from web browsing to

livestreaming.

With the ability to switch back to Device Mode at any time, Application QoS will give you a level of control never before seen on home routers.

DumaOS 3.0 is the biggest update we have ever built, effectively doubling the feature set. Application QoS is just one of many features coming to your router with DumaOS 3.0, so stay tuned for our next feature announcement.

  • So when is 3.0 being released to fix the many issues such as device manager? In all the posts I’ve read, they have been saying it’s coming for at least 6 months.

We'll have a beta announcement soon. As you can see features are being announced on a weekly basis as we get closer.
  • Looking forward to this new release... Bring it on...

    All the best !!!

  • Hey guys I love the amazing work you are doing with these gaming routers, any word if ipv6 will be addresed with upcoming firmwares?. Sorry if this has been addresed already but the issue is when i have qos enabled with the recommended slinders set at 70/70 anti-blufferbloat doesn't work with Xbox. The xbox recieves full speeds and the only way for anti-blufferbloat to work is to turn off ipv6 but Xbox team highly recommend to use ipv6. Thank you guys for everything you do, I'm loving my XR500 looking forward to all these new features.

Yes we will be getting IPv6 working correctly with QoS. IPv6 certainly isn't required from Xbox and any benefit you would gain is negligible.
