Re: Nighthawk xr300 pro virgin media
What virgin media gateway do you have?
You should be able to get it working.
usually vigin media has modem/router combo devices that cause a double nat.
options? (use only 1)
1. put the virgin media device in passthrough/modem only mode. Contact your isp for help with that.
2. install the netgear and found out its ip address (might have to change it if same as virgin media's). then put that ip address in the virgin media's DMZ.
3. Put the XR300 in access point mode. it does disable some features and halfway ruins the point of getting a gaming router.

Yes absolutely, I have Virgin Media and it is very easy to do. You just connect the XR to the Virgin hub and enter the WAN IP of the XR into the DMZ function on the V hub interface.

Re: Nighthawk xr300 pro virgin media
Bit late but just put your virgin box into modem mode and connect your XR300, job done plug a cable into a lan port on your virgin box and the Internet port on your XR300. Mine works perfectly with a hub 3.0
