Re: XR1000v2 Randomly Loses Internet, requires reboot

I have had the same issue since the last firmware hotfix update 1.1.0.22_2.1.34  .  It will run for awhile and randomly lock up and drop wifi signal since last firmware update.  I tried factory reset today, but it still stalls out on internet connection about after an hour or two.  I talked to spectrum and they tested their modem and line and say everything is fine.  I think maybe your new firmware has a problem? My modem is Model et2251 DOCSIS 3.1.  It didn't used to do this prior to firmware update. Turned off congestion control and adblocker but nothing has helped.

  • That's just a security update from NG so unlikely to be that though not impossible. It could be a cloud issue, we're looking into it currently.

Try setting a DHCP IP address pool range of 192.168.1.100 to .200.

Might also try putting in a non managed 1Gb LAN switch in between the ISP modem and XR router. Connect only these two items to this switch and nothing else. Something like NGs GS105 or GS305 would work.
