XR 500 Geo Filter issues

Hey Everyone,

 

The issue I'm having is that I'm playing Destiny with a buddy from work and we're trying to load into Mars together and somehow cant seem to find one another. He lives right by me and I have the geo filter set up for 69 miles as well as strict mode. Somehow I always wind up with randoms and never with my buddy who lives less than 3 miles away.

 

Any idea as to what could be causing that issue as well as any answers you have would be awesome.

    The way Destiny works is that it doesn't always rely on P2P, it also uses dedicated servers. There will also be many instances and so that makes it harder to find people if you're not directly inviting them to the game. To clarify, it may not be possible or easy to do it this way. If it were to work I'd suggest putting both your locations in the same spot in the ocean where no servers/players would be located and trying it that way.
