power light on AC1750 R6400v2 Blinking
Had the router for about a month or two not too long and one day I was updating through the app and my friend turned off the router thinking the internet was down when he turned it back on the power light was blinking so i did some research and went for the first thing i saw which was the reset so i hit the reset button held for thirty second turned it off while still holding the reset for thirty then turned it on still holding the reset for thirty with no progress went back to the internet to do more research and found how to update the firmware using TFTPD so i went ahead and did that got the latest firmware version and went ahead it looked as if the transfer was successful said exactly what it said on the guide from the netgear site then waited for 30 minutes for the router power light to stop blinking still no luck so after i turned it off and did the 30-30-30 reset again waited a bit then turned it off and retried the TFTPD and have just been waiting it is still flashing any reccomendations would be appreciated!

I've had to try tftp several times to get it to work properly before. you could try again. You shouldn't need to wait 30 minutes. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. You put tftpd, it should just be tftp.

Also, use the built in tftp in windows if thats what you're on. you have to enable it. here's how for windows 10.

If that doesn't work, you could try whats called nmrpflash. https://github.com/jclehner/nmrpflash
Some have had success with this.
if it doesn't work and you bought it new, you could return/exchange it or start a rma process with netgear. to do that, click mynetgear at the top, register an account and then device, and then go through the support options.
In the future, I wouldn't recommend updating via the app. I understand the roommate shut it down so its not the apps fault, but we usually see the most issues when people update over wifi or the app.

I meant TFTPD64 which is what i tried to use an alternative for TFTP because every time i tried it never worked always said unable to get response from server but i followed the method you suggested using nrmpflash and what i got from that was bailing out no response after 60 seconds not exactly sure where to go from here.

if you've tried tftp and nmrpflash, you might be out of options.
If you're still within warranty, you can try that option. The prior post went over doing that.
