Re: upnp error
What options do you have in the firewall/forwarding pages there? Can you send screenshots of those?

Re: upnp error
OK, are there any settings pertaining to modem mode or bridge mode that you can find?

Your last picture has it. "Change Operating Mode"
What do you see when you select this button?

Re: upnp error
Well that's a shame no Bridge mode.
I would ask the ISP if they have methods to bridge this modem, or if they have a non router modem unit, something modem only with out a built in router. This current model modem will be problematic if you intend to use the XR router.

Re: upnp error
It would best best to have a modem or a modem/router that can run in a modem/bridge mode or have DMZ functionality. This prevents NAT issues.
Simply put, bridge/modem mode essentially just tells the router to run as a modem. This means the routing side of things is disabled.

My current keenetic omni is a modem/router. In order to use the netgear xr500 device, do I need to use only a modem? <Yes, a modem ONLY unit would be recommended and preferred to use with the XR router. Why you should ask your ISP if they have such a option for you to use.
I want to ask one more thing, what do you mean by bridging mode? can it have another name? <I've seen TRANSPARENCY mode used back in history as a term for bridging or putting a modem router combo unit into modem only mode.

Re: upnp error
Set up the XR router with the new modem?
Might factory reset the XR and walk thru the setup wizard and complete it.
