I have a NETGEAR cable modem (AC1900- C7000). Just bought NETGEAR wireless router NIGHTHAWK X8 (AC5300).
Every time I try to log into the router using the instructions (routerlogin.net) it takes me to the cable modem (AC1900) and not the router where I need to upadate the firmware.
How can I log into the router and modem separate? using routerlogin.net it always takes me to the cable modem???
I'm confused, Appreciate any help

Hi JCH0321,
Access it via the IP address of R8500. Check your computer's default gateway and use that address.
