Issue with firmware update

The app is saying I need to sign into the the genie and update my firmware. But, when I get into the genie there’s no option for an update. And the version I am using is the one is the latest approved version from my internet provider. But I can’t access the app until it’s updated. Not sure what to do as I’m not real tech savvy.

         Says who?  Trust no one, I always say.  Especially not one who tells
      you to update the firmware on your DOCSIS device, over whose firmware
      you have no control.

         Netgear doesn't always do very well with technology, either.

  • That’s the chart I used and I have the correct version already. But when I open the netgear app it’s redirecting me to the genie to update the firmware. And I can’t do anything else with the app. I can’t even get to the dashboard
