Logging into my nighthawk X6 AC3200 Smart WIFI Router(R8000)
I need to access my router data and currently I cannot do so because it won’t allow me to log in. I am reluctant to do a factory reset because I do not know if that would change the password for all the devices currently using the router for internet access. Or, if it would only reset the username and password for access to my router and not the internet access username/password. I tried the security questions route bubt either its too case senistive but I can't access it that way either to chnage them. NewGear won't help unless I pay for tech support. Please help. I need to set up my new camera system and I need to check ports available etc.

You can do a factory reset and just write down what the ssid/password currently is.
That way you can always just change the ssid/password back to what you had it and the devices should auto-reconnect.
I've changed routers numerous times and just reuse the same ssid/password so I can't have to reconnect all my devices.
Simple.
The problem with the security questions is that if you didn't set them up, it still asks but there isn't a correct response so it just circles.
or if you don't know the answers.So you're kind of stuck needing to reset it to get back into it.
