Nighthawk 6700 v3 amber blinking power after failed firmware update
I tried to update my router via the Netgear Nighthawk app and it failed in the process. Now, it is unable to connect to the internet and only displays a blinking orange power light. I tried to power cycle and do a factory reset with no changes. The modem connects to internet just fine (via Ethernet to my computer). Router is Netgear Nighthawk 6700v3 and the previous firmware was 1.0.4.84, tried updating to 1.0.4.122_10.0.95

sounds like it got bricked during the update. Look in youtube on "how to unbrick my router" and you can use the tftp method to unbrick it. Make sure you download the firmware for that router from the netgear website.

You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Do NOT use firmware verision V1.0.4.122_10.0.95. There could be issues accessing the router GUI using a web browser. I had this issue. Use the previous firmware version V1.0.4.120_10.0.91. See threads listed below for problems with firmware version V1.0.4.122_10.0.95:
