Nighthawk R7000 wireless keeps disconnecting wireless. Wired is fine

I've had this router for a while and it's been solid, but in the past two weeks, the wireless connection drops while the Ethernet connections attached to the router are fine. Rebooting the router typically fixes the issue for some time, but is no longer rock-solid as it used to be.

I have tried downgrading the firmware, but the disconnecting persisted. The firmware is currently at the latest version V1.0.9.64_10.2.64.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

   To what?

"Latest" and "best" are spelled differently for a reason.  A quick
search of the forum should find any number of suggestions to try going
back to the ".42" firmware.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.

Many wireless-network problems are possible.  You might, for example,
try changing the radio channels.

Re: Nighthawk R7000 wireless keeps disconnecting wireless. Wired is fine

Since the 42 firmware I have had no end of issues - this being with the 60 and the 64 firmware. I have reverted back to the 42 but there are still issues. The symptom is that gradually all of the WiFi devices stop being associated with WiFi through no IP address and even Ethernet based devices stop being able to acquire an IP address. Only fix is to power off then on and then once booted, log in to reboot again (first boot from hard restart is not stable). The symptoms point towards the DHCP server not working after a period of time (anything from one day to 7 days, never longer). I am trying a work around using a separate DNS server but that has not been that successful as after one day I have had to restart the router already. Now under watch.

When you reinstalled the .42 firmware it might be advantageous to do a hardware reset via the reset button then reconfigure. Some firmware change things and then do not get changed/cleared with a different firmware install. Try that if you have not. You do not indicate that you have done a reset.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I have downgraded to the .42 firmware as recommended and am in testing phase. I will continue with other replied responses should they be needed.
