What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
Be sure to speed test with a wired ethernet connected PC and use ooklas installable speed test app to run any speed test with.
I'd factory reset the router and setup from scratch using a wired ethernet connected PC:

Power off the modem or ONT for 1 minute then back ON as well. The complete the setup wizard.
Be sure to not enable Access Controls, Armor, Circle or Traffic Meter as these can slow down the speeds.
Re-test the speeds.

Re: R8000 — Nighthawk X6
HI Furry,
Using newest V1.0.4.84_10.1.84.
Mfr is ARRIS model:NVG578LX ISP is Youfibre.
BUt is not a issue.
When connecting comp strait to modem with cat5 cables and run speed test OOKLA one i have 950Down and 950UP test.
When connecting using same cables R800 to a ARRIS router transfers droping to 280DOWN and 70Up.
I can connect as well R800 nighthawk strait to socket on a wall and internet is working and transfersare 350Down and 70Up. So it must Netgear router issue. I reset all to factory setting but problem is a same. As you mension few yaers ago i find out Circle droping transfers. All Armor Circle and Traffic Meter turn off. Dont know where a problem is.
Regards,
Rob

Re: R8000 — Nighthawk X6
Problem solved. I turned off some WIFI option now working on full speed connected strait away to socket without additional ARRIS router.
