Re: when do you use 2.4GHz vs 5GHz
2.4GHz band is older vs. 5GHz is newer band. As a result there are more users on 2.4 causing congestion of signals.
5GHz is still much less congested but has shorter range vs. 2.4. There is no rule which one should be used. Try both
and choose the better one for you.
