Arris SB8200 receiving 800mgb but Nighthawk R7000 router only recording 240 mgb download speed

Hi&nbsp;my modem is recieving 800 mgb of download speed but nighthawk router only registering 240 mgb......how can I fix this issue?

1. what firmware is on the r7000?2. how are you testing speeds on the r7000? through the nighthawk app? through a wireless app? hardwired into the router?&nbsp;

Hi my firmware is V1.0.11.126_10.2.112I check the speed using the wireless appDoes that help?

Which wireless app?&nbsp;the nighthawk (which hosts the test on the router) or the speedtest app (hosts the test on wireless device)?Its kind of key as wireless isn't going to hit much more than 300+mbps on the R7000.&nbsp;Wired you can potentially get close to the 800mbps but even that is only with all the extras disabled (parental controls, access controls, qos, traffic monitoring, etc)

Yes the nighthawk app - I only have a few devices wirelessly to the router - zfinity tech retested the modem and it is good - but router 30% of modem speed

What speed do you get if you hardwire a pc/laptop into the router? Not wireless. not using an app.If you're using speedtest, try multiple servers&nbsp;
