Nighthawk AC1900 doesn’t work with Spectrum modem
I was using the AC1900 C7000v2 wifi modem/router for my spectrum internet service. Then Spectrum sent me a new modem I have to use to avoid service shut off. So I setup the new Spectrum modem and try to use my AC1900 as a router only. I went into the netgear utility under advanced options and made sure the router only mode was on. It is. I connected the Ethernet from the back of the modem into port 1 of the router. Then I tried plugging in ethernet into the other 3 ports that run to my Apple TV, computer PlayStation. And none of them worked. They did however pick up the IP address.

Re: Nighthawk AC1900 doesn’t work with Spectrum modem
the problem is that the C7000 is a modem/router combo device.
It can be used as strictly a modem or as a combo device. But not as just a router.
There is a way to use it as an access point but you'd still need a router to connect to the modem.
This is the first that I've heard the spectrum is forcing you to use one of their modems.
