Nighthawk R7000P not working after firmware upgrade to v1.3.1.44
Hi,
Yesterday night upgrade my Netgear Nighthawk R7000P (AC2300), using Admin page (192.168.1.1), after 30 minutes the amber light kept flashing, I went to sleep hoping the process will be finish during overnight, no success.
Here is my current situation:
- no wifi
- No Ethernet, after connect my computer I’m not getting an IP from the router. But the lights in the router seams “ok”
- Because the issue above I cannot ping 192.168.1.1
- In my last session in the admin page, shows full progress bar and the new firmware in the top left: v1.3.1.44_10.1.23
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Gustavo

Here is a step by step writeup of recovering a r7000 via tftp using a MAC written by a Senior Designer.
Will work fine for a r7000p as well. Only real issue is does the MAC have an Ethernet port. If not then you will need a USB to Ethernet dongle.
I have done this procedure on a r8000 using a MACbook Pro with dongle and know it works. Will see some non english in some of the screen shots.

Have you tried a reset? Hold reset button for 7-10 seconds?
If that doesn't work and your power light is blinking, you're probably a candidate for a tftp procedure. Here's the windows instructions.

- gmpaixaoAspirantThanks for your answer, I’ll try later.
Is this tftp procedure possible in MacOS?
Thanks again- plemansGuru - Experienced UserYes. You just need to use a client though.
