Problems with data packet loss in league of legends

Hey!

For a while now I have experienced problems while playing league of legends. The problems are that every now and then, when a lot is happening on the screen or its early in the game or just randomly as well some times, my game freezes. It can freeze for everything between 0.2 seconds to 1 second (which is the most usual) or all the way up to around 10 seconds if its really bad.

Here are some clips on how it is for me:

I've been in touch with Riot support who gave me some fixes to try, but with the help of pingplotter we saw that I lost quite bit of data packets before even reaching the Riot servers. Which means that the problem is with my Internet Service Provider or with the router.

I called my ISP and they couldnt do too much about selecting a proper route to the Riot servers because I was using a different router than what they issued me, but they said it might be a problem with the router I am using now.

I have also just tried using WTFast which is a VPN that selects the best possible route for the data packets and such for the game youre playing. I still had the same problems, so I was hoping anyone here had any solutions as to how I can fix this, or someone I can contact. Because if it keeps going like this I have to end up changing the router or something like that.

Thanks a lot, I look forward to your help

    1. what modem/gateway do you have?

    2. what firmware is on the r7000?

    3. does the issue happen if you directly connect the pc/laptop/console to the modem and use it? easy way to determine if the router is causing the issue.
