R6900v2 won’t allow nest thermostat to connect after router password change

For security reasons I had to change the password in my AC1900 model R6900v2 WiFi router. Reconnected tablets (both iPad and android based) along with Roku streaming devices without issue. When I input the correct password on my Nest thermostat I keep getting a message the router password has changed and it can’t connect, even when I re-enter the new password correctly.

Nest passed it off as a router issue. After checking the various settings on the router, I went back and found others on the Nest site experiencing similar issues and did a factory reset on the thermostat itself. That solved the issue. Thanks for the assistance.

Which "the password"? Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your
model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.
Look for "Types of Logins".
Assuming that you're referring to the wireless-network password
(passphrase), did you change it for both SSIDs (radio bands)? I know
nothing, but I'd guess that your (unspecified) "my Nest thermostat" uses
the 2.4GHz band, while your (unspecified) "tablets (both iPad and
android based) along with Roku streaming devices" might use the 5GHz
band.
Are there any (potentially troublesome) special characters in your
new "the password"?
