R7000 Firmware update failure
R7000 - FIRMWARE WON'T UPDATE USING THE APP. ROUTERLOGIN.NET WON'T ACCEPT SERIAL NUMBER, HOW DO I EXECUTE DOWNLOADED FIRMWARE UPDATE?
if its asking for the serial number, you're going through the forgot password option. You might have to reset to factory defaults and log in, do your upgrade, and then re-setup the router.

have you tried logging in via the gui at the default address? usually 192.168.1.1 but you can pull up a command promt and type ipconfig and get your gateway address from there.

I can log in an bring up the GUI but it does not recognize my serial number and so I cannot advance to the next screen.
