R7000, drops internet daily

How often do you all complete a factory reset of this router? This thing has been dropping the internet connection daily, sometimes 3 and 4 times. We have been unplgging it, letting it sit for awhile & plugging back in. This is getting very annoying. the router is uptodate on downloads. It is almost 3 years old. It is not dependable at all.

    1. what firmware version are you on? (the latest changes, might not be, and doesnt help others with this same issue)

    2. what modem/gateway are connected to? 

    3. is it wireless that drops? wired? both? What actually happens when it goes down?

      Firmware: V1.0.11.106_10.2.100

      Spectrum modem: Arris TM1602

      drop out: both. 

      The R7000 is hard wired to the computer, not by wifi. When it goes down, we loose internet connection and wifi connections to all devices. But the modems internet icon is steady. I have had Spectrum trouble shoot it remotely and by tech being here. And when the router drops, the modem still gives internet signal.

        I'd try installing the newer firmware. 

        Its 1.0.11.123

        Then do a factory reset and new install. Don't use a backup configuration. 

         

        If that doesn't help, try version 1.0.9.42 of the firmware. Again factory reset/new install. 

        this is the agreed upon fastest/stablest version so far.
