R7000 losing the internet connection

Hi,It is ridiculous that you just have 90 days for “real” support, and after that, you have to bother other people who don't have anything to do with NetGear, just using their technology, what for they spent money .... I hope one day this profit-oriented company will all stumble about their money-grabbing systems, I have a problem, since some days my R7000 loses the internet connection the modem. I have to reboot the router to get rid of this issue. 10 times a day, this is very frustrating, I have talked to my provider, which confirms the problem is not on their side, the internet provided to me is stable.I cannot prove the information from my provider, but if I reboot the router everything is working normally for 30-50 min. The same happens if I restart the modem.
I have the latest firmware installed, I get the message if I want to update the firmware.(R7000) Is there anything I can do to solve the issue? or is the r7000 just too old after 8 years of 24/7 usage? Can I check if everything is OK with the R7000?

regards

franz

    1. what actual firmware are you on? "the latest" isn't a number and changes

    2. what modem/gateway is it connected to?

    3. Does the issue happen to all devices, just wireless devices? Do wired drop?

1.0.11.136 is actually the latest. You can download it here:

        https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7000.aspx

The R7000 has responded favorably to factory resets after firmware changes. Not saying you have to, but its a good option with the r7000.

Modem is bit of a key as some ISP's provide modem/router combo devices and it can cause a double nat.

Which is why we ask. I'd look at the label on the modem/gateway
