R7800 Firmware Bug
Hi,
Just upgraded to firmward V1.0.2.52 on my R7800. All of the names of my "Attached Devices" were erased. Now, when I enter a name for a device and select save, the name is not remembered. Please fix.
Hi All,
A new firmware is being released for this model and fixes for attached devices issue is included. Here's the release notes:

Confirmed here too. Better contact support. I personally don't care for that feature, but it would be nice if it works correctly

This is not a new problem. Similar problems have been reported since firmware version 1.0.2.40.

I had the same thing happen with V1.0.2.52 after upgrade. I have also experienced disconnects from the router every 15-20 minutes with the new verion. I have reverted back to V1.0.2.46 and will monitor for stabillity issues then try to get back to you about my suspicion that V1.0.2.52 is buggy.
- avtellaProdigyNo issues regarding WiFi here in my testing so far. Try factory reset and don’t use backup config, as in manually reconfigure. Sometimes changes can cause issues with old configs.

I also experienced where the names of my "Attached Devices" were erased with V1.0.2.52. I also experienced disconnects every 15-20 minutes with that version. I did a factory reset as suggested by Avtella. The disconnects disappeared but I had horrible download speeds, somewhere in the range of 10-12 Mbps even after I manually configured the router to it's previous settings. Nothing I did in the past 2 days helped the speed, even called my serice provider to run a diagnostic on my cable line. Downgraded back to V1.0.2.46, did a factory reset, reconfigured the router and was back to normal. Download speeds now back to 233-236 Mbps as before. I have the 200 Mbps Plan. Never did figure out what the problem was in V1.0.2.52 but I know for sure that it is buggy for my R7800. I always install the newest version of firmware on the router as I feel my system is more secure but I'll have to wait for the next upgrade because this latest one is not fully campatible with my R7800.

I Upgraded to the new .58 version and lost all WiFi connectibility. I tried various changes to my WiFi settings to no avail. I had to downgrade to .52 Hardwired worked, just the WiFi which I heavely depend on went down. I have version one of the R7800 as there is no V2 or anything after the model number under the Router. I had no problems with physical attached devices, settings, port forwarding or anything else, just WiFi
