R7850 Internet Speed Slower Than ISP

Question

I have a Night Hawk&nbsp;R7850&nbsp;which gives good service throughout the house, but the Interent speeds top our at around 125Mpbs on 5G and only 75Mpbs on 2.4. &nbsp;Yet, when I connect a laptop directly to the Internet modem from Spectrum, I get 450Mpbs or higher. &nbsp;The Spectrum tech told me mine is rated at 480Mbps when &nbsp;we did a speed check on the modem.&nbsp;Why am I not getting similar speeds when connected through the&nbsp;R7850&nbsp;and only about 1/4th?&nbsp;Thanks!

That seems to have helped! I can get over 400 now occasionally, but it averages in the mid-200’s, much better than before. I did change the SSID’s back to what I had them from the default NETGEAR50, so I wouldn’t have to go around and update the various devices like thermostats, Alexia, etc., but that shouldn’t matter, should it?Thank you!

What speed to you get hardwired into the R7850?
What firmware is on the router?&nbsp;
What modem is it from spectrum?
Are you using access controls, qos, traffic monitoring, or parental controls? Try disabling them and rebooting if so.&nbsp;

Get around 115Mpbs when hardwired.Firmware is V1.0.5.74.Spectrum Modem is E31N2V1, Hitron Technologies, Inc.Parental Controls are Off.Traffic Meter is Off.Turned QOS off and speeds:Hardwared: &nbsp;Jumped to around 230 from around 150.Wireless: &nbsp;Jumpers to around 215 from around 135.

Try a factory reset and reinstall.&nbsp;
During the install, leave access controls, qos, traffic monitoring, and parental controls all off.&nbsp;
Then try the wired/wireless testing and report back.&nbsp;
